If you’re one of the 50,000 or so DS Automobiles drivers in the UK, then the French automaker has a luxury accessory you’ll want for the summer season — a picnic hamper.
The picnic hamper has been crafted to accompany the DS Culinary Luggage range and features accents from the Esprit de Voyage collection available on the manufacturer’s DS 4, DS 7 SUV and DS 9 model ranges.
Designed alongside French luggage makers La Malle Bernard, the DS Automobiles Picnic Hamper is finished in pearl grey Nappa leather, with high-quality fabric inside covering panels made out of wood from poplar barrels. Each hamper is also embossed with the Esprit de Voyage signature that matches those that appear inside the cars.
The hampers have unique details like Clous de Paris embossed handle inserts, metal clasps, and hand-sewn leather handles. Each one is made by hand by La Malle Bernard — the oldest box and luggage maker still operating in France — taking many hours to complete. The La Malle Bernard workshop can personalise each hamper to match the customers’ model of car and be branded with their initials and to the customer’s wishes.
The picnic hamper was thoughtfully designed to accommodate an outdoor lunch for four, offering an array of containers and accessories.
