Sipping summer spritz with a Cotswolds Distillery twist

Enjoying a refreshing spritz in the sunshine is a pleasure that many of us enjoy during the summer months. From the classic Aperol Spritz to the more contemporary Limoncello Spritz, there are plenty to choose from. The Cotswolds Distillery has a couple of summer spritz options that will make a delicious addition to your spritz lineup this season, but why just limit them to summer?

Cotswolds Distillery Summer Cup
25% ABV
£26

A long, refreshing spritz is a great thing on a hot day, and if you prefer something with a more earthy, herbal flavour profile, the Summer Cup will be a definite hit.

While some summer cocktails can have a sweet edge, the Summer Cup goes in a rather different direction. This aperitivo is created by blending Cotswolds dry gin with Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez sherries. These rich, deep flavours are enhanced with a selection of herbal and spice essences, which add freshness and character.

On the nose, the sherry notes feel a little overwhelming, but once mixed and over ice, the fruity notes remain and mellow into a flavourful glassful.

Mixing a Summer Cup

1 part Cotswolds Summer Cup
2 parts lemonade, or for more kick, substitute for ginger ale

Mix together and serve in a tall glass over ice. Garnish with your favourite summer fruits.

Cotswolds Wild Spritz
30% ABV
£25

This English Aperitivo inspired by the countryside is bursting with bright citrus, with delightful hints of herbs and botanicals that bring the flavours together nicely.

With lemon balm, lavender, hops, and distilled orange peel at its heart, Wild Spritz has a delicious dryness and a bittersweet flavour, creating a lovely summer drink. It’s light and refreshing, with a golden colour that feels like a great match for a sunny summer’s day.

75ml sparkling wine or Prosecco
