Orvis UK and Hunter Gather Cook have partnered to launch the ultimate outdoor experience package: a day of fly fishing, foraging and cooking, ending in a freshly cooked meal that celebrates the best of British wild food.
The package was launched on the 9th of April with a special day on the Kimbridge beat on the world renowned River Test, the event coinciding with the launch of Nick Weston’s new cookbook, ‘Adventures in Wild Food.’
Established in 2011 and located in the middle of mixed woodland on a stunning 40-acre farm near Lewes, East Sussex, Hunter Gather Cook (HGC) is a foraging and cookery school that specialises in game butchery, wild cocktails and outdoor cookery, exclusively cooked over live fire.
Nick, Founder of Hunter Gather Cook said, “Fly fishing and foraging are personal passions of mine, so this was a natural partnership to create. Having access to the Orvis beat on the world renowned River Test made this Catch & Cook package even more special. I fish with an Orvis Helios 3 fly rod and love the companies’ ethos of conservation and encouraging people to enjoy the outdoors.”
Dates for the Catch & Cook summer session include Sunday 21st September on the Orvis Kimbridge Beat on the River Test in Hampshire. The cost is £350 (inc VAT) per rod.
