Fred Sirieix: The Ambassador of Love and a G’Vine Gin Cocktail

Fred Sirieix is a man who oozes sophistication and great taste, so it is no wonder that French gin maker G’Vine recently named the maître d’, TV star and cocktail fan as its first ambassador.

“His passion, knowledge and proven expertise make him extremely relevant when talking about wine, spirits and gastronomy”, said Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, master distiller of Maison Villevert, the house behind G’Vine. “Fred has that French flair and je ne sais quoi that fits the DNA and raison d’être of G’Vine. Furthermore, our friendship and shared origin of France make him a natural addition to the Maison Villevert family.”

G’Vine gin is set apart from other gins as it’s made from grapes, not grain. The French distiller believes that grapes lend rounded, smooth qualities to the spirit, while the vine flowers added to the spirit are delicate and fresh, and the bouquet of botanicals complements their flavour. The fresh, floral flavours balance well, resulting in an elegant gin cocktail.

If you’re going to trust anyone to give you romance advice this Valentine’s Day, then Fred Sirieix, with all of his First Dates fame, must be high on the list. To help keep the romance, and the cocktails, flowing, Fred has created the ‘G’Vine Amour’, Valentine’s cocktail that is simple to make at home using just five ingredients and showcases the versatility of G’Vine gin.

“Be bold this Valentine’s Day and impress your loved ones by stepping away from classic cocktails”, says Fred, who is well-known for his insight and advice on romance. “My G’Vine Amour combines the smoothness of grape with the sweetness of vermouth resulting in a surprising and delicious way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.”
