Two of Britain’s best-known luxury names – Aston Martin and Glenfiddich – have announced a new global partnership, unveiled during Monterey Car Week in California. The collaboration builds on Glenfiddich’s existing relationship with the Aston Martin Formula One Team, but now extends into the road car world with plans for exclusive products, events, and experiences.
“This partnership allows us to bring our shared story to life through immersive, sensory, and emotional experiences that resonate with our customers,” said Stefano Saporetti, Aston Martin’s director of brand diversification. “Both brands are globally celebrated yet proudly rooted in British history, creating a true balance of tradition and innovation.”
To mark the launch, Glenfiddich is releasing a 1976 Vintage Single Malt, aged for 48 years and finished in a specially coopered European oak sherry cask. Only 50 bottles will be available worldwide, offered exclusively through The Distillers Library and at the Glenfiddich Distillery.
Malt master Brian Kinsman said the whisky was chosen for the significance of the year as much as the liquid itself. “The mid-1970s was a defining period that marked the beginning of Glenfiddich’s modern era,” he explained. “This exceptional cask embodies the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship that perfectly matches our new partnership with Aston Martin.”
Glenfiddich says the 1976 Vintage opens with aromas of red berry sweetness, crumbly butter pastry, soft spice and a whisper of sherbet lemon. On the palate, layers of stewed fruit and toasted wood unfold, before a lingering finish of sweet oak spice.

At Monterey, visitors to The House of Aston Martin could sample Glenfiddich in a curated pop-up tasting experience, while also seeing the new Aston Martin Valhalla plug-in hybrid supercar. Claudia Falcone, Glenfiddich’s global brand director, said the pairing was deliberate: “Valhalla embodies the same rarity, precision, and future-facing vision as the Glenfiddich 1976 Vintage. Together, they tell one story: two brands united by heritage and driven by innovation.”
With just 50 bottles in existence, this is clearly an expression of rarity, refinement, and the thrill of owning something that few others will ever touch. A bit like owning an Aston Martin, then.
