Vintage Port wine maker Taylor’s has announced the release of a new and very rare Port wine. Taylor’s Victory Port was created to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The exclusive limited edition offering of 1,945 individually numbered bottles references the year when peace was finally restored.
In January 2025, a new category of Port wine was established: the 80-Year-Old Tawny Port
. Taylor’s has introduced this rare and limited-edition release to commemorate this historic milestone. Taylor’s Victory Port has been aged for eight decades in hand-crafted, seasoned oak cases. This Tawny Port represents the patience and expertise of Taylor’s craftsmanship in fine Port winemaking.
Taylor’s created this extraordinary blend by drawing upon its extensive reserves of very old cask-aged Ports preserved in its cellars in Oporto. These rare and historically significant wines are rarely unveiled, reserved for the most exceptional circumstances. For Victory Port, Taylor’s expert blenders have meticulously selected a few of these remarkable vintages.
Having been hand-selected, these individual wines were harmoniously blended using Taylor’s centuries-old expertise, ensuring a seamless integration of flavours, complexity, and depth. The blend was then allowed to marry together in cask for several months, until it achieved perfect balance and elegance.
“This wine is a tribute not only to a pivotal moment in history but also to the generations who came before us and shaped the world we know today,” said Taylor’s CEO, Adrian Bridge. “The name Victory embodies the resilience and spirit that have defined our era, and it is a great honour for us to craft this wine as a lasting tribute. We are also proud to introduce this wine as the first under the IVDP’s (Port and Douro Wine Institute) 80-Year-Old category, a new milestone in Port wine classification.”
Each of the 1,945 bottles of Taylor’s Victory Port is individually numbered and presented in a bespoke luxury case designed to reflect the significance of the edition. The elegant boxes, crafted from Ash wood, embody refinement and quality. Inside, the bottle features an exclusive Taylor design, which showcases the brand’s heritage.

Taylor’s Victory Port will be available at leading wine merchants from mid-April, with a recommended retail price of £600.
