The Ski Getaway: Reinvented

Fed up of squeezing onto an expensive easyJet flight to an airport somewhere near a ski resort before enjoying a week on the slopes? Fortunately, the Swiss resorts of Laax and Davos Klosters have worked together to reinvent the ski getaway.

Launching in February 2020, “The Ski Getaway Reinvented” invites passionate skiers, novices and those in search of a winter wonderland break, to experience the luxury of private charter travel for a fraction of the price.

The seven-night package starts with a private charter flight on a British Airways operated 32-seater jet out of London Cty Airport, flying directly to Alternhein in the Swiss mountains. A waiting luxury bus will transfer you to your first resort 50 minutes away.

That first resort will be the lively Laax municipality in the east of the country. Crowned as the World’s Best Freestyle Resort for 2 years running, and boasting the world’s biggest halfpipe, there’s 235km of pistes to explore. It’s the perfect environment for mountain enthusiasts looking to explore new territories.

Accommodation will be at the rocksresort apart-hotel, a design hotel voted as the World’s Best Green Ski Hotel last year. A self-contained complex of architecturally minimalist, cube-shaped buildings in the very heart of Laax, the ski-in/ski-out setting is a great starting point for your winter break.

You’ll then switch locations, by luxury transfer of course, to Davos Klosters, where over 80 slopes and experiences across five different mountain areas await you. The brand new ski-in Parsenn Resort in the heart of the village will be your base for the rest of the week, with the luxury apartments offering vast balconies that provide picturesque views of the mountains.

Apres-ski action is covered off with non-stop action in Laax, followed by the relaxed atmosphere in Davos, with each location having a wide range of restaurants and bars.

Devised by the Weisse Arena Gruppe in Laax and the Davos Klosters Mountains, the Ski Getaway Reinvented is designed to offer unique experiences in two mountain areas not comparable with other available offers. Comfort and convenience are high on the priority list, with the package eliminating the need to book various costly services or travel to far-flung locations.

The seven-day package starts from £1,550 per person, which includes the private charter flights from London City to Altenrhein, with a 23kg luggage and additional ski bag, transfers, luxury self-catering accommodation in Laax at the rocksresort and in Davos Klosters at Parsenn Resort, as well as a seven-day ski pass. In addition, skiers will have access to a WhatsApp concierge service during the trip.
