Tomatin’s 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection Whisky

Nestled in a quiet corner of the distillery and furnished with antique wooden rails that sit above an earthen floor, Warehouse 6 houses Tomatin’s most treasured casks.

Among them is the 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection. Distilled on 8th December 1975, the spirit has spent the last 43 years gently maturing in a Spanish oloroso sherry butt. Yielding just 300 bottles at 46.5%, cask number 35834 has finally broken cover.

Graham Eunson, Distillery Manager at Tomatin, said: “With patience comes reward, The 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection provides a perfect harmony of tropical and dried fruits, dark chocolate and warm spicy notes balanced with the complex background aromas created by decades of slow oxidation in its unique warehouse locale before a long and elegant finish.”

Offered for sale via selected retailers, the 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection is presented in a hand-blown Glencairn Crystal decanter, which is itself set within its own case. The set also comprises two glasses decorated with solid copper bands, a solid copper decanter stopper, and a numbered certificate that details the story of the whisky itself.

Stephen Bremner, Managing Director of Tomatin, said“I’m so pleased to announce the release of The 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection; these limited-edition expressions from the Warehouse 6 collection enjoy the perfect atmosphere during maturation, providing the flawless environment for exquisite whisky to come to life in all its glory.”

Protected in a secure material bag for delivery, the 1975 Warehouse 6 Collection is expected to retail for £2,400 for a 70cl bottle.
