I first met Andrew Green after he’d entered a competition to shoot the unveiling of a new McLaren Formula One car at the McLaren Technology Centre. I was working with McLaren at the time and while the competition drew hundreds of entries, I was instantly drawn to Andrew’s use of light, his eye for composition – and the fact that he’d shot everything on an iPhone.
We’ve worked together on many projects since then and while he can turn his hand to any subject it’s his ability to shoot people that is his strongest suit as these shots from the Goodwood Revival show. His photo essay demonstrates that the best photography is, like writing, always about people rather than things.
